MAUREEN SINCLAIR - Project Director
Founder of Clapperboard UK Limited and Consultant to BAFTA (British
Academy of Film and Television Arts). She has worked in the media
industry for over 25 years. Maureen initiated the Clapperboard Youth
Project in 2004 upholding her passion to bring creativity into education
and to advocate the promotion of the wealth of talent that exists in the
North. Maureen wishes to continue to develop a progression route for
young people into the media industry through the development of
Clapperboard Advice Workshops.
Maureen is also Director of EventSinc, a company specialising in the
organisation, marketing and promotion of high profile events.
KBS Productions - Creative Team
KBS is an award winning film and television production company with
deep roots in Salford.
JOHN CRUMPTON - Creative Director and Producer
John has worked within the film and television industry for over 30 years.
During this time, he has been nominated for BAFTA Awards for
Clocking Off and Queer as Folk, whilst also winning a BAFTA for his
audio-editing on Hillsborough. Early in his career he managed and
made many films at the pioneering Manchester Film & Video Workshop.
Since the mid-Eighties he has freelanced as a sound editor for television
companies throughout the UK.
LOUIS LOIZOU - Assistant Creative Director
Louis is a Manchester based independent film maker, teacher and
freelance writer. He has worked within a range of media from television
to computer game production. He passionately believes in the power of
film and drama to influence people, and has produced many short films
with young people in both England and America.
ANDREW DAVIES - Editor and Camera Operator
Andrew is a FCP/Avid Editor and Camera Operator. He graduated from
Salford University and has his own company, Hershel Productions.
Andrew has worked on a variety of projects, both local and national.
He has worked for the Guardian Media Group and the BBC.
FAISAL QURESHI - Editor
Freelance Screenwriter, FCP Editor, Director and Lecturer.
Faisal specialises in editing short drama films. He has also worked on
various documentary, corporate and pop promotional videos and lectures
at Leeds Metropolitan University.
LAWRENCE VAN REISS - Production Designer & Art Director
Lawrence is a critically acclaimed set designer and specialist in 'medical'
makeup and prosthetic design. He has worked on a number of TV shows
such as Home to Roost, Sherlock Holmes, Where the Heart is, Ghosts,
A Streetcar named Desire, A Midsummer Nights Dream and Playboy of
the Western World. His film work includes Amy Foster and Madly Yours.
He has also worked on West End musicals Oliver and Some like it Hot.
