BFICBUKLOGOClapperboard UK is looking for 20 committed, creative young people between the age of 16 and 19 to be a part of the BFI Film Academy 2018/19 Network Programme.

As a BFI Film Academy participant, you will collaborate with a professional filmmaker and industry experts to make two short films from script to screen. We are offering 20 spaces on the academy and participants will be split into two groups of 10, one on a Saturday, one on Sunday.

Participants will attend specialist masterclasses with industry experts learning about camera operation, directing, script writing, producing, set design and distribution. Participants will also attend networking events & curate a special series of films to be screened at a major cinema.

Course dates & times:  Every Saturday or Sunday from 11am-5pm. Course begins on 20th October and finishes on 26th January 2019.

Location:  Liverpool Film Studios.

Accreditation: Participants will work towards gaining an NCFE in Preparing to Work in the Film Industry.

Work Experience: Participants will have the option to attend work-based experience within the film industry.

Costs: *£25

Eligibility: You need to be between the ages of 16 and 19 on the first day of the Academy programme. You must be a UK resident and able to commit to the programme for its duration.

We are looking for participants with a genuine enthusiasm and passion for film.  You will need to make sure that you can attend all the dates stated before applying.

*Bursaries are available to participants who require financial assistance in order to participate in a Film Academy course.
