Liverpool born Christine entered the world of acting when she was cast in the Liverpool film The Leaving of Liverpool and as a result decided to pursue a career in acting. She is well known for her role as Davina Shackleton in the BBC’s Waterloo Road and has appeared in many feature films such as Priest and Hold Back The Night. She has also appeared in Clocking off, Trial and Retribution, Fat Friends, New Street Law, New Tricks and Casualty.
She has recently been in London filming for the new series of BBC Drama Silent Witness, Christine has supported Clapperboard for many years now supporting workshops as well as presenting awards at previous ceremonies.

Frank is one of the most respected British screenwriters of his generation, Frank has been praised as one of the few truly inventive modern screenwriters. Frank is an advocate for encouraging and developing the imagination of young people through creativity.
Screenplays include: Butterfly Kiss, Hilary and Jackie, Millions, Code 46, A Cock and Bull Story, The Claim, Welcome to Sarajevo, Grow Your Own, 24 Hour Party People, God on Trial and Framed. His stageplay Proper Clever opened at the Liverpool Playhouse to rave reviews.

John decided to become an actor at the age of 40 with his first big break being in the Channel 4 series G.B.H. in which he played a minder . Since then he has appeared in feature films The Parole Officer and more recentley Looking For Eric and television dramas including Life on Mars, Nice Guy Eddie,Born and Bred, The Royale Family Looking For Eric. John has also appeared in the theatre production of Jim Cartwright’s Road at the Octagon Theatre in Manchester and more recentley John has supported Clapperboard since it began in 2005 by attending the awards ceremonies to present awards and delivered workshops for the young people involved in the project.

Corrin was involved in the Youth Project in 2007 when she was a pupil at Halewood Performing Arts College. She was democratically voted by her group on to the Active Citizen Panel and since then has been heavily involved with Clapperboard She assisted in the film making process last year whilst doing voluntary work with Handstand and Clapperboard. Corrin is now studying Film Production at Bournemouth Arts University with the hope of working in the British Film Industry. We are delighted to have her on this year’s Jury Panel.

Paul became story editor on Coronation Street in 1983 graduating to the script team four years later. He wenton to co-create the drama series Children's Ward with Kay Mellor in 1988.
He produced the second series of Jimmy McGovern's Cracker in 1994, for which he won a BAFTA for Best Drama. He spent the next year working on three serials, all screened in 1997. The first of these Reckless,then the four-part Springhill and Touching Evil, followed by Butterfly Collectors in 1999.
In 1998 he created the series that established him as a leading writer of contemporary award winning television drama, Clocking Off, followed by The Secret World of Michael Fry then Linda Green, Alibi and to a rapturous critical reception the political thriller State of Play and the semi-autobiographical Shameless.
Paul Abbott has won various awards for writing and producing, including the BAFTA Dennis Potter Award for Outstanding Writing in Television, International Emmys and the Peabody Award. He is a Visiting professor at Salford University, and Honorary Professor at Manchester Metropolitan University. In 2008 Paul established ‘Abbot Vision’ incorporating his Manchester based Writers’ Studio.

Bradley was a pupil at The Academy of St Francis of Assisi High School when he was involved in the project in 2008. Since then Bradley has continued to be involved with Clapperboard whilst pursuing his career in acting. He was cast in Ken Loach’s new feature film Route Irish shot partly in Liverpool which has recently been screened at the Venice Film Festival and is due to be released later this year. Once he finished production he enrolled at the Liverpool Media Academy to do a BTEC Diploma course and has just been given the lead role in a new drama, The Life Of Riley which will begin production this summer. We are delighted to have Bradley as a member of this year’s Jury Panel and wish him every success in his acting career.
