ClapperbordUK is delighted to announce that applications are now open to 16 to 19-year-olds for this year’s BFI Merseyside Academy.

Last year’s participants did really well, with 17 gaining a National Certificate of Further Education in preparation for work in the film and TV industry.

Some have been accepted on a week’s BFI residential course in Edinburgh with all expenses paid and have gained work experience at Lime Pictures and were all invited to apply for a paid internship.

We have only 20 places to offer and welcome applications from young people from social and economical deprived communities, under representative young people, BAME, refugees, new arrivals and other ethnic minority groups.
